Operational Priorities
The Manipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) is committed to driving inclusive growth and sustainable development through trade, industry, and social initiatives. Its key objectives are:
AIM & OBJECTIVES
8. Project Formulation & Implementation:
To prepare development plans and project reports for specific regions or villages at the request of government or local authorities, and to undertake implementation of such plans as approved.
9. Member Welfare:
To promote the welfare of MCCI members through recreational, medical, and other supportive facilities.
10. Knowledge Exchange & Capacity Building:
To conduct study tours, seminars, meetings, workshops, conferences, work camps, and exhibitions to accelerate development efforts in the state
11. Resource Mobilization:
To solicit, obtain, and accept subscriptions, donations, grants, gifts, bequests, and trusts from individuals, banks, local authorities, corporate bodies, institutions, and state or union governments — including agencies such as the Khadi and Village Industries Commission and State KVI Board — to support its objectives.

To undertake developmental activities aimed at the socio-economic upliftment of all communities — with special emphasis on women and the weaker sections — through trade and commerce.
2. Social Infrastructure Development:
To encourage and support the growth of small-scale, cottage, and village industries across the state.
3. Promotion of Small-Scale & Village Industries:
To facilitate the establishment of essential community facilities such as orphanages, children’s homes, homes for the aged, hostels for youth, tribal communities and working women, community halls, sports complexes, primary health centres, hospitals, schools, colleges, public libraries, and mental health institutions.
4. Skill Development & Rural Industrialization:
To set up production-oriented training centres in rural areas to train skilled workers, thereby building a sound technical base for rural industrialization.
5. Knowledge & Social Welfare Promotion:
To foster constructive thinking in various fields of social welfare and contribute to knowledge development.
6. Protection of Weaker Sections:
To safeguard the interests of weaker sections of society through special programmes that raise their living standards, including the provision of adequate workspaces and housing facilities.
7. Health & Charitable Services:
To establish and maintain hospitals, charitable dispensaries for women and children, maternity homes, child welfare centres, and similar institutions, including children’s homes and orphanages within the state.
